Employer Sponsored Visas

There are various types of employer sponsored visas which permit the holder to live and work in Australia and even include their dependant family members in their application.

Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (TSS Visa) Subclass 482
This visa permits a holder to work full time for a sponsoring employer in the nominated occupation. Dependant family members can also be included in the application. Depending on the whether the nominated occupation is listed on Short Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) or Medium and Long-Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) an applicant can apply for 2 years or a 4 years visa. An option to apply for employer sponsored permanent residency also exists for TSS Visa applicants if their occupation is listed on MLTSSL list and they have worked for their employer for over 3 years.

Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) Subclass 186
This is a permanent residency visa for skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian employer. It is available for applicants who are living and working in Australia or are currently outside Australia. Dependant family can also be included in the application. Depending on the selected stream for lodging this visa, applicants may need to undertake a Skills Assessment prior to lodgement of the application.

Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS) Subclass 187
This is a permanent residency visa for skilled workers who are nominated by an employer in Regional Australia. It is available for applicants who are living and working in Australia or are currently outside Australia. Dependant family can also be included in the application. Depending on the selected stream for lodging this visa, applicants may need to undertake a Skills Assessment prior to lodgement of the application and may also be required to get a certification from Regional Certifying Body.
