(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /home/indianav/migratetosunnyaustralia.com/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6131The Australian federal government has now released the occupation ceiling for 2020-2021.
Occupation ceiling is only applied to invitations issued under Independent (189) and Skilled Regional (provisional) visas 491 – (Family Stream).

Occupation ceiling serves as a limit on the number of Expression of Interests (EOI) that can be invited for Skilled Migration from an occupation group. This in a way ensures that a small number of occupations do not dominate the skilled migration program and once a limit is reached, no further invitation for a particular occupation group are issued in the program year. Invitations are then allocated to other occupation groups regardless of their ranking level.
It is important to note that the occupation ceilings do not apply to State or Territory Nominated visas such as the 190 (State Nominated Skilled Permanent Visa) and 491 (State Nominated Skilled Regional Work Visa) and Employer Sponsored or Business Innovation and Investment visa subclasses.

For State or Territory Nominated Visas (190 and 491), all states receive quotas from Federal Government every financial year, the numbers of which are yet to be declared for financial year 2020-2021.
Currently only the State of South Australia has received notification from Home Affairs to open their State Nominated Skilled Migration Program on a interim basis with a view to fully opening it by end of August 2020.

As part of this current limited interim allocations, the South Australian Government will be prioritising a small number of applications that are deemed to support South Australian economic and public health recovery. The government of South Australia will provide more details and further guidance on this in the coming days.

What you should do to move to Australia ?
It is understandable that many potential applicants might be facing reduction in working hours or might have been made redundant however, it is important to note that Australian immigration legislation changes quite frequently and it may be best to start working on the steps involved in lodging a successful visa application which can take 6-8 months to complete.

Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the competition for Australian migration process will be high amongst applicants therefore, it is important to take action now itself.
We strongly urge applicants to prepare and lodge their Skills Assessment application as it forms the basis of their future visa application. If an applicant doesn’t pass a Skills Assessment then, one cannot proceed with a visa application in future. Should you already have a positive outcome then, we recommend lodging an expression of interest as soon as possible.
We have assisted many candidates to successfully migrate to Australia on various types of Australian visas and will be able to assist you through all the stages of lodging a successful visa application including the Skills Assessment.
